Between lie and truth.The figures of the liars and the process of their unmasking in the novel Dodici più un angelo by Ingrid Beatrice Coman
The article is an analysis of Dodici più un angelo by Ingrid Beatrice Coman, an author of Romanian origin whose works represent Italian migrant literature. The main aim is to demonstrate the phenomenon of lying and the figures of liars. Not counting the introduction and conclusion, the article consists of four parts: one theoretical and three analytical. In the theoretical section, in which there are references to the assumptions by Ekman, Aristotle, Cavaillé, Montaigne, and Rousseau, the concepts and methodological considerations, later applied, are presented. Each analytical section addresses a different figure of a liar, description of the lie spread by the liar, and the techniques of unmasking it.
